AFCON CAMEROON 2021 Afcon 2013 : Insight of the 2nd match Burkina Faso vs. Togo

Today Sunday 3rd February, 2013, marks another day for the quarter final tournament of Africa Cup of Nations for Burkina Faso to face Togo; I mean to battle each other. The Hawks are determined to build on their recent feat whiles the Stallions hope to better their 1998 record. And this game is taking place at the Mbombela Stadium – Nelspruit, 6:30pm promt.

These two West African countries have laboured in the history of the tournament with Burkina Faso’s best being their fourth-place finish on home soil in 1998 and they held the country with the longest run in the tournament (17 games) without a win until they broke that jinx against Ethiopia with an emphatic 4-0 win.

Togo on the other hand is in the quarter-final of the tournament for the first time in seven appearances and this crunch encounter promises nothing than fireworks.

The last time both countries met was in a friendly in 2012 where Togo won 3-0 at the State Municipal.
