Africa Basile Boli : Issa Hayatou, should he remain president of the CAF? Vote and express yourself!

The CAF President Issa Hayatou, is a candidate for his own succession which takes place next month. I am one of those who think he should step down now … I had the opportunity to say on my blog.

I just watched the ATS survey, a large majority is unanimous, he must go! I did not expect so high score!

He is the head of the CAF since 1987! African football will soon learn to turn the page even if Hayatou of Cameroon did things well. And much less …

Here’s what he has entrusted: “I wanted to go, but my team requires me to stay. We are a team for over 25 years, it is in this spirit that I agreed to represent me. There is no limitation of mandates. The only limitation is 70 years old and I am 66 years old, so I can introduce myself. And this time, it will be my last term.

We have credibilitize the AFCON, increased resources. Before, nobody wanted to play friendly matches against African teams, and today they are sought around the world. African football is going up. We will continue the action for an African team will ever win the World Cup.

The first challenge is the promotion of football. The second fight bad attitudes. It does not take much, for example the behavior of a refereer, for it is said that CAF does not like this or that team. We are the target. You never hear this kind of talk in Europe against Platini or Blatter. “

Keep voting and commenting. This debate really excites me! African football has many issues to address before the next World Cup in Brazil. It is clear that many cases fail or could be handled differently.

I really wish that this blog is the space of expression for all football fans on the continent, clubs, presidents, treasurers and expats! You also have things to say!

why, is Hayatu the only sensibly man in Africa, i don’t see why they should be maintaining him, he has done nothing good for African football, he is so corrupt and needs to be voted out. A frica we have good men to do this so let,s come together together to boot him out or else Africa will never get to anywhere in the world football. we have people like Abedi Pele, Kalusha B, Danny Jordan, Kwasi Nyantakyi and cos, all this men can do much better than what he,s doing.
