Africa Kenya: Women Premier League has promoted six other teams

This comes after successful talks between the Federation and league sponsors who have agreed to have an increase in the number of participating teams up from last year’s 12. Sporting Queens will lead six other teams that have been promoted from Girls’ Division One league to the national women Premier League.

Former Kenya international Simon Mulama currently coached the Eastern Zone champions will be joined by Fuhaha Ladies and Moving the Goal Post from Coast Province while the western Zone will have Nyuki Starlets, Kakamega Muslim and Oserian Queens.

The new teams will join the following in the premier league: Champions Matuu, MOYAS, Old is Gold, Thika Queens, Kisii United, Spedag, Mathare United, Western Commando, Galacticos Youth and Makolanders in the first tier league.

The premier league will kick off in March on a date yet to be announced.

    kudos for those championing for the success of Kenyan women premier league, the cause is encouraging but the pace at which is being run leave many people with a lot of doubts including the potential donors who might be waiting at the fence to see what will be the out come of it all.
    i am a coach with WADADIA LEGBAL TEAM IN MUMIAS and would wish to see the games on but we are wondering what is going on. the space is good and God knows what awaits the women league.
