Murielle Ahouré is still proving that she is one of the best sprinters all over the world. The Ivorian realized on Saturday at a meeting in Birmingham the best performance of the winter on 60 m, winning the final in 6’ 99”.

No athlete had fallen below 7″ since 2010 (6 “97 for Laverne Jones-Ferrette).

Ahouré beat Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, double Olympic champion in the 100m (7’ 09”), and the American Barbara Pierre (7’ 09”).

For her part, the Ethiopian Genzebe Dibaba won the 4’ 00” 84 before the Moroccan Siham Helali (4′ 07″ 99) and is closer to the world record of the Russian Telena Soboleva (3′ 58” 28).
In male category, the Sudanese Abubaker Kaki prevailed on the 800 m in 1′ 46″ 57 while the Moroccan Abdelaati Iguider confirmed in his current fitness by dominating the 1500 m in 3′ 37” 54.
