Africa Ghana : Match halted for Goalkeeper to attend to nature’s call

During the Glo-Premier League’s second match on Saturday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Amidaus Professionals and Real Tamale’s match was stopped by the referee for what was said to be a drama.

Barely 30 minutes into the match goalkeeper of Amidaus Professional, Eric Antwi Ofori complained of a sudden stomach upset which forced referee Prince Tawiah to halt the match for the goalie to attend to natures call.

However, it took Eric the goalie about 4 minutes to return to field of play but officials reported that it was against FIFA’s Law Five to continue a match in the absence of a goalie. The match finally ended with Amidaus Professionals defeating Real Tamale United to a 3 – 1.
