The 37th staging of the annual Gibson relays with boys’ and girls’ Championship just over two weeks to go.
However, Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt and his Crew Yohane Blake, and Warren Weir could become the spotlight during this event.
Usain Bolt and his crew are expected to line up in the sprint relay for clubs and institutions. Asafa Powell and Nesta Carter in their line-up are expected to face the starter when the final run is at approximately 5:33 Saturday whiles we look out if they are able to do well below 38 seconds.
The high championship is set for March 12 – 16 and by 9:30am there will be a 4×400 metres heat for the boys’ high.
The event is set to meet three Championship events for boys and girls and then sprint relays and the 4x400m and the 4x800m open.
Kingston College won the sprint relay last year and will start favourites to win again.
