He will be remembered as one of the greatest players of his country that marked the years 1996-2006. He was vice champion of Cameroon in 2004 with the Racing of Bafoussam in which he was captain.

Zé Zanga has also played in several clubs including Federal Foumban, Coton Sport of Garoua, the Unisport du Haut- Nkam and in UBC Douala. He was coach of Esperance de Guider.

He was also one of the first African players tried their lucks in China.
