Africa Nigeria to play Mexico in friendly

Super Eagles of Nigeria who are currently at the top of their group for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers are to take on Kenya in Nairobi on 8th June before travelling to the FIFA Confederation Cup in Brazil.

The champions of the Africa Cup of Nations are to meet the champions of North and Central America, Mexico in an international friendly in Houston Texas on 31st may, 2013.

General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Musa Amadu revealed in a statement on Wednesday, “The Nigeria Football Federation and its match agent, Eurodata Sport Marketing Sportivo e Culturale, are pleased to announce that the Super Eagles will play against Mexico’s Senior Team in a friendly match at the Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas on May 31, starting from 21h00 Texas time.”

“We are pleased that the reigning African champions will have such high-quality final preparation for the important games that we have in the month of June,” he added.

Nigeria will play against Tahiti, Uruguay and World and European Champions Spain whiles Mexico also plays against Brazil, Italy and Japan in their Group A.
