Africa Nigeria: the club Tornadoes fired 11 of its players!

The Executive Committee of the Nigerian club Tornadoes (second division club) had a heavy hand.

11 players of the workforce were fired with immediate effect. In a statement, the club announced that the players were fired “for not having their contract negotiated directly with the manager of the club but rather with the technical advisor, Godwin UWUA. The latter, after negotiations had not introduced the players to the manager of the club properly and failed to communicate effectively with manager. “

“The agents of these players have also threatened manager for non-payment of contract fees. They asked us to stop aligning players otherwise they may send a report to the board of the Nigerian League, “the statement said.

The Tornadoes located in the financial inability to pay its severance agreement to these players chosed to free them from their contract.

There are six defenders, four midfielders and a striker. The defenders were Ajibade Omolade, AbdulAzeez Isah, Alhassan Madah and on Sunday, while the midfielders were Robert de Peter Danishe, Fidelis Iheme, Edward Othege and a Togolese, Fabrice Mensa. Also were fired two central defenders namely Muftau Taoheed and Ndubuisi Obi and a striker Emmanuel Osigwe. This latter was not covered by the announcement of the club but wrote to Tornadoes to be released from his contract in solidarity to his comrades.
