Africa Afcon U17: Ghana and Congo are in the race for the semis

Everything is revived in the group B of the Afcon U17. The second day of group matches played on Wednesday reshuffled the cards. Nigeria has fallen notably from the euphoria of its brilliant victory against Ghana 6-1 in the opening.

Blame to the catchy Elephants to the end and eventually winning 1-0 at the last minutes of the match.

In the second match, Congo and Ghana clung 1-1. From the third minute, the Red Devils found the way by Kader Georges Bidimbou. An advantage that is not going to break because at the 37th, Yaw Yeboah restored the parity.

The table in this group gives the leadership to Ivory Coast  with 4 points, followed by Nigeria with 3 points. Congo (2 pts) and Ghana (1 pts) can still hope to reach the last four. The competition takes a break on Thursday.

Friday, the last day in Group A has already delivered its verdict. Morocco and Tunisia, already qualified to compete. On the other hand, Gabon and Botswana play for honor.

In Group B Saturday, Nigeria will have to beat Congo, while Ghana will seek its first victory against Ivory Coast.
