Africa Nigeria : Mba allowed to play for rivals Enugu Rangers in their CAF Champions League campaign

All of you remember him. Mba was the hero for Nigeria in their recent Africa Cup of Nations success, will remain a Wolves player.

 

He has travelled with the side to Luanda, Angola for their clash with Clube Recreativo Desportivo (CRD) do Libolo.

 

This is the second-leg of this particular fixture with the first tie at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in April having ended goalless.

 

A letter from Wolves club’s secretary Lawrence Omowho, that was sent to the Nigerian Football Federation read: The management of Warri Wolves hereby on national interest release its bona fide player, Sunday Mba to play for Enugu Rangers.

 

“The Nigeria Football Federation should note that hundred percent financial and federating rights of the player, Sunday Mba remain with Warri Wolves. Warri Wolves are doing this in the national interest and so that the player’s career would not be in jeopardy.”
