It was predictable after what happened a week ago after the final of the Algerian Cup played between USM Alger and Mouloudia Club (1-0).

After the defeat, the MCA leaders have asked their players to boycott the awards ceremony and caused discomfort in the Algerian football.

FAF (Algerian Football Federation) spoke of “a very serious and unacceptable act”. The sanctions were therefore expected. And the least we can say is that the Football League is not gone dead hand. Especially against Fawzi Chaouchi, the guardian of the Club and the Desert Foxes: Two (02) years of firmer suspension for contempt, defamation and defamatory towards match officials and sporting bodies as of May 8, 2013 and fine of one hundred thousand dinars (100,000 DA).

Another player, Reda Babouche scopes one (01) year suspension for having insulted officials contestation of decision and breach of his responsibilities as team captain, effective from May 8, 2013 and a fine of one hundred dinars (100,000 DA). So, the apology of the leaders have not weighed too heavily in the balance.

Other sanctions

1. Gherib Omar (leader):

Penalty: lifetime prohibition of leading any activity or function in relation to football for having abused officials and sporting bodies with aggravating facts as of May 8, 2013 and a fine of two hundred thousand dinars (200,000 Da), with proposal of removal from the national sports movement.

2. Menad Djamel (Coach):

Penalty: Two (02) years of suspension one (01) year suspended from all football activity in contempt and defamation towards match officials and encouraging players to indiscipline as of May 8, 2013 and a fine of one hundred thousand dinars (100,000 DA).

5. Amrouche Hocine (Chairman of the Board):

Penalty: A fine of two hundred thousand dinars (200,000 Da), for breach of the obligation of confidentiality.

In addition:

– The club MC Alger will be deprived of the compensation awarded by the FAF to the finalists of the Algerian Cup.
