Africa Pape Diouf : Future mayor of Marseille?

The former leader of OM, the Senegalese Pape Diouf, is courted by two Socialist candidates in the elections for mayor of Marseille, announces the French weekly France Football reported by APS. The former player and journalist is not activist of any political party but would be close to the ruling Socialist Party.

His courtiers are Marie-Arlette Carlotti, Minister for Disability and the Fight against Exclusion and Samia Ghali, mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Marseille.

Invited to the meeting of campaign of François Hollande then French presidential candidate, the Senegalese was recently congratulated by the latter after the publication of his autobiography “It’s more than a game”

The former sports journalist, player agent, and chairman of the Olympique de Marseille from 2005 to 2009 was born in Abeche (Chad) in 1951. He has settled in Marseille at the age of 19.
