Gossip WTA Brussels: Stephens laboriously

Sloane Stephens had to fight three rounds and 1:28 minutes to get the upper hand this morning against Tsvetana Pironkova in the first round of the tournament in Brussels.

After winning the first set 6/3, the American seeded No. 4 of the tournament almost got trapped in the next round 6/2. In the final set, she took the service of the Bulgarian and leads 4 games to 2, but lost her service in the wake [4-3].

The 57th in the WTA does not however come to four games everywhere, then the seeded No. 4 break again and wins 6/3, a victory 6/3, 2/6, 6/3.

In the next round, the world No. 17 will face China’s Shuai Zhang.
