Fourth consecutive national title for FC Basel, winner of St Gallen 1-0 in the last day match. This is the 16th league title for the club.

A coronation attended this season by the Ivorian Serey Die, the Cameroonian Jacques Zoua and the Egyptians Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El Nenny. This season, Basel played the Europa League and failed only in the semi-final against Chelsea.
