The world No. 1 has lost the first set on Monday on the Parisian clay court against German Philipp Kohlschreiber. The seeded No. 16 takes the service of the Serbian to 2/2 and wins the first set 6/4. During the next two sets, Djokovic ensures the win with a break. At 5-2 in the fourth set, the seeded No. 1 serves to match but Kohlschreiber prolongs the suspense going back to 5-4 before drawing the curtain on his career at Porte d’Auteuil.
In the quarter-final Novak Djokovic will face another German, Tommy Haas who defeated Mikhail Youzhny 6/1, 6/1, 6/3.
