We are heading to the last square of the Grand Slam of Paris international courts. Today the survivors of the fortnight at Roland Garros begin the stage of the quarterfinals in both categories.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will get a real idea of “level” on the Philippe Chatrier court against the World No. 3 Roger Federer. The Swiss, best player in the Open era, will play on this occasion its 36th consecutive quarter final of Grand Slam against Tsonga one who hitherto has not conceded a set from an opponent. The tussles between the two men on the Central will undoubtedly the show of the day. They have already met three times in a quarter of a Grand Slam. Advantage Federer who leads 2 wins to 1.

Impressive since his debut at Porte d’Auteuil, Serena Williams expects a“difficult” game against the Russian Svetlana Kuznestsova. The American, World No. 1 and the Russian, former winner of the tournament (2009), will cross the racket on the court Suzanne Lenglen.

The first exchanges of this first act of the quarterfinals are scheduled at noon.
