Europe Extensive search operation at the headquarters of Italian clubs

Since Tuesday, la Guardia di Finanza (Italian Financial Police) launched an extensive search operation, investing the headquarters of the 41 clubs, including 18 in Serie A, informs the Gazzetta dello Sport on its website.

According to judicial sources of AFP, Juventus, Italian champion, AC Milan, Naples, Fiorentina and Lazio Roma, would be among the teams involved in this investigation. An investigation that focuses on suspicion of tax evasion, money laundering and false invoices in the margin of the players transfers.

It all started with a survey a year ago, hard wood floor in Naples trying to update the existence of this practice. No division of Italian football would be spared of this issue.

Also cited are the players’ agents, including that of the Parisian Ezequiel Lavezzi, Alejandro Mazzoni.
