This is the story that is making the buzz in the Nigerian football world. Four clubs involved in two play-off matches that ended 79-0 and 67-0 respectively, a total of 146 goals, have been suspended in Nigeria.
The Plateau United Feeders ran over Akurba FC with 79- 0 while Police Machine FC humiliated Bubyaro FC 67-0.
Unacceptable scores for the head of the Nigerian Fooball Federation (NFF) Organising Committee, Muke Umeh,
“It is unacceptable – a scandal of huge proportions,”
“The teams are suspended indefinitely, pending further sanctions.”
“We will investigate this matter thoroughly and get to the bottom of it,” Umeh added.
