Africa Moscow 2013: The Ethiopian Aman world champion 800m

MohammedAmanGold medal for Africa. Mohammed Aman created the feat by winning the precious metal in the 800m final, in the absence of the Kenyan Olympic and world champion David Rudisha.

The Ethiopian won in 1:43.31 after a tough race. From the kick-off, the Americans Nick Symmonds and Duane Solomon took control of the debate. During the last lap, Aman made the effort and outclassed the Americans. At 40m from the finish line, he beat the second Symmonds who eventually finished with a time of 1:43.55.

While the head of the race was critical, the Djiboutian Ayanleh Suleiman traped after the first lap, made a big effort to snatch the third place and win the bronze medal in 1:43.76 ahead of the Polish Marcin Lewandowski.
