Africa Ghana: No house for Most Valuable Player, Welbeck Abra-Appiah

A publication on the Ghana FA website early this year said a two-bedroom house valued GH¢ 70,000 (US$ 35,000) will be presented to the MVP of the Ghana Glo Premier League. This publication raised alarms that the league is finally on a right course as players now stand a chance of benefitting  from their talents.some believed it will serve as a motivation to these young talents.
But shockingly, Welbeck Abra Appiah, premier league board chief has announced that there is no house for any MVP. “To the best of the of my knowledge, there is no contract between the Ghana Football Association and anycompany to  reward the best player of the league with a house,” Abra-Appiah said on Happy FM. This statement did not go well to the fans of Accra Hearts of Oak beacause it was widely speculated that last season’s top scorer  Mahatma Otoo will win the award after some exhilarating performances.they thought their talented top scorer.

Mahatma Otoo would be awarded with a two-bedroom house. The former Hearts of Oak striker, now with Norwegian top-flight side Sogndal, scored 20 goals in the league to win  the top goal scorer
