Espanyol manager Javier Aguirre has admitted that he is struggling to get a replacement for Ghanaian winger Mubarak Wakaso. Javier believes he has the right materials for all his positions with the exception of the role left behind by Wakaso.
It is very difficult to find a replacement for a great player like Wakaso but we are still looking into the market for good players who are on free transfer to sign, Javier said. The 23-year-old left the Spanish side after just a season to join Russian side Rubin Kazan for a reported fee of six million euros.
His move to the Kazan was was met with stiff opposition from his Spanish club and their Mexican trainer has admitted he’s struggling to find his replacement. Wakaso was ver influencial in Ghana’s 2-1 win over Zambia to secure their spot in the final play-offs.
