PlumCoach Hans Vander Pluijm has stated clear that he is not pushed by their defeat against the Porcupine Warriors in last sunday’s supercup game. The defeat put fear in  Medeama fans because they believe the defeat will serve some bad omen with some weeks to start the Ghana premier League the experience Dutch trainer is unmoved by their defeat and believes the team will be ready for the new soccer season.

We made many mistakes but I don’t think losing to Kotoko will be end for Medeama. The players failed to adhere to instructions and that cost us. But it was good exercise and we have to look at the bigger picture. Let’s put the defeat behind us and forge ahead. The new season is just days away and we cannot continue to think about the past. I am confident about our chances this season. We have to look at few things in the team and then we can take it from there.”Pluijm said

Medeama will open their Premier League account with a tricky away tie against regional rivals Sekondi Hasaacas. The Porcupine Warriors were in heavy form as they thrashed Medeama 3-0 courtesy goals from Seidu Bancey, Abeiku Ainooson and Yahaya Mohammed at the Baba Yara stadium.
For Kotoko fans, the win was a sweet revenge having lost the FA Cup title to the Mauves and Yellows last season.
