Manchester United manager David Moyes says Wayne Rooney has had the stitches from his head injury removed, adding that his recovery is going well.Rooney suffered the cut via the boot of Manchester United team-mate Phil Jones, forcing him out of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
“Wayne is in great physical shape, but has a cut in the middle of his forehead that could split and the skin is very thin,” says Moyes. “The stitches are out, it has knitted well.”
