The Angolan staff drew up a list of the twelve players who will defend the title of Angola during the Afrobasket Women 2013, to be held in Mozambique (Maputo) from 20 to 29 September.

So seven players left the group of 19 selected for the preparations (editor’s note, Mereciana Fernandes, Judsite Queta, Rosa Gala, Helena Francisco, Ana Gonçalves, Madalena Valentim Rosemira Daniel).

To repeat the feat in 2011 in Bamako in Maputo, Aníbal Moreira has trusted ten players in the local league and two from France.

In Spain for their last tour, Angolans have lost their second friendly match against Rivas Ecopolis (Vice European Champion) on Saturday (67-58). They are housed in Group B of this Afrobasket alongside Cape Verde, Mali (3rd in 2011), Cameroon (bronze medalist at the Francophone Games Nice 2013), Kenya and Nigeria.
