Africa Brazil 2014: Dede Ayew admits Egypt is a tough side but………

dede (1)Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says the Black Stars respect their Egyptian counterparts, but believes the Black Stars are a better side. The two countries face off on October 15 – a Tuesday – in the second city of Kumasi in the final qualifying round of the World Cup. Andre says that even though the Pharaohs have a healthy mix of youth and experience, Ghana has what it takes to eliminate Egypt and qualify for the World Cup.
“They have a lot of new players, the team has changed, a lot of the old players are old and they have a lot of experience, confidence in themselves and they want to go to the World cup but we are Ghana. I believe we are a better side and we need to make it to the World Cup.” The son of Abedi Pele speaks eloquently about the balance between Egypt’s hunger and Ghana’s goodness. He has no illusions about how easy the game will be.
I think it’s going to be a difficult game. Egypt is a very good side but we have the quality to win. This fixture gives us good memories,” he told Kessben FM in Kumasi. But since then, the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi has become something of a fortress for the Black Stars. Andre Ayew is counting on more of the same. “We lost to Egypt in the 2010 Nations Cup final Angola and we won the 2009 World Youth Cup in Egypt so I believe that we need to take them very seriously, have confidence in ourselves and I believe that we can do something good over there
