Nine referees have been suspended each for six months by the Ghana Football Association for providing fake education certificates.
They have been charged with impersonation after providing fake Basic Education Certificate Examination. Those involved in the scam are Uriah Glah (Accra), Daniel Dorgbertor (Sunyani), Amofa Sarkodie (Obuasi), Augustine Akugure (Bolgatana). The rest are Alex Akugre (Tamale), Osman Ouadragou (Bolgatanga), Samuel Kyermeh Yeboah (Berekum), Prince Tawiah (Techiman) and Frederick Bediako ( Accra).
The nine referees have been excluded from this season’s list of officials.
