Africa Accra Hearts of Oak trio Moro Abubakar, Ashittey Ollenu and Emmanuel Hayford returned to training

phobiansEmmanuel Hayford, who scored a double in the win over New Edubiase United on the opening day, missed out on the last game due to a knock he picked up on his knee. The exciting midfielder was ruled out for a week and he returned to training this morning.

Team captain, Moro Abubakar is back for Hearts for the first time this season after serving a four-game ban. The combative midfielder has missed two games this season, but he started training today. Ashittey Ollenu joins the team after he missed the first two games of the season.

Hearts Team Manager, Nat Ofosu, explained the absence of the trio to accraheartsofoak.com.

Moro Abubakar was on suspension,” Nat Ofosu said. “He got suspended at the tail end of last season; he had a red-card, and the accompanying report was violent conduct, and so he had to be out for four matches. He has served the suspension and come next match, he will be available.

Ollenu sought permission for respite from the team because of physical fitness, it is now over and he is back and available for selection if he does well.”

Hayford started training today; he did not do a lot of the physical exercise, but he was allowed to do a few runs. So let us see how it goes, if he is ok by our technical team’s satisfaction, he will be available for selection.”
