Ex-Nigerian international Benedict Akwuegbu said that the FIFA world cup playoffs against Walia Antelopes of Ethiopia will not be a hard one for the Eagles. He said that he believed that the nation has got wonderful and fantastic players all over that can do job very well. The Super Eagles travel first to tackle the antelopes at the Addis Ababa in the first leg while the second leg will be staged at the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar.
“I’m sure Nigeria will beat Ethiopia home and away because the country has got talented players that can do the job. Nigeria should recall the former captain Yobo Joseph because he has the experience the team needs in the defense line. I’m not bothered about other departments, but the defense line.” He told raypower sports.
He advised that the Eagles should not be fast to let go of the former captain, Joseph Yobo, claiming that the Fenerberche defender has a lot to offer the team at present.
“I know Coach Stephen Keshi is doing his best for both the team and the country and he will select the best hands for the country.” The former RC Lens player said that he believes head coach Keshi will not have issues with selecting players for the game.
