Football Andre Villas-Boas:”FA has made a decision almost a joke”

Andre-Villas-BoasThe Spanish international striker of Chelsea nicknamed El Niño was sent off during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham after having ruthlessly scratched the face of defender  Jan Vertonghen of Tottenham.

This incredible behaviour of Fernando Torres did not only hurt the Belgian defender but also his coach Andre Villas-Boas.

While everyone was expecting the Football Association to inflict an examplary punishment to the Spaniard, a decision according to which the player will not scope any sanction is released on Wednesday.

Unhappy with such a decision, Andre Villas-Boas deems it a disgrace to the World of Football.

“I think the FA has made a decision almost a joke. It looks incredible. How can you see the images, pretty clear, and come out without punishment, on something which overtakes all professional behaviour?

“I think the decision is a disgrace. If the committee can’t solve such clear images I don’t think it sets out a good first example.

“I think the FA has lost all opportunity to put some sense into the images everybody saw.”
