Kwesi Appiah calls all the Ghanaians upon to support the Black Stars who begin training today (October 8) ahead of the Brazil 2014 Playoffs’ first leg game to be held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on October 15, 2013.

The Ghanaian manager wholeheartedly believes that a full national backing is required for the Black Stars to hook their third World Cup qualification in a row.

“Once someone has been chosen to represent the nation, it’s important that the whole nation stands by him. It’s about the nation and not personalities.

“It’s the nation that counts. Every player will go out there with pride to try and win matches for his nation.”

“It is not necessary to target a player and make him feel not a part of his country. Whoever is chosen needs the nation’s support.”

“The support spurs them. And it [support] can make the difference in certain games. They need it and Ghanaians will have to tally behind them.” he said.
