Africa NFF laments poor state of ethiopia pitch

nff_logoAccording a release by our colleagues of Completesportsnigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation has decried the poor state of the pitch that will host the 2014 World Cup qualifying first leg tie between the Super Eagles and their Ethiopian counterpart.

NFF technical committee member and leader of the advance party, Chris Green stated that the pitch is simply not good enough to host African champions.

“What do we really expect? This is what we have come to find out here and the pitch is just not good enough for us but we don’t really have a choice and we just have to make the best of the situation that we have found ourselves in,” he told Brila fm.

The Nigerian team is expected to arrive in Addis Abeba few hours before Kick-off to avoid being affected by the high altitude in the Ethiopian Capital.

The Super Eagles are currently camped in Abuja the federal capital territory training twice daily especially in the afternoon in a bid to start getting used to the weather conditions similar to that in Ethiopia.
