Europe Roger Federer got rid of his coach Paul Annacone after a poor performance year

indexAfter his defeat last Saturday in the eighth finals of Shanghai Masters that come to increase the number of his defeats this year, Roger Federer has severed his alliance with his professorial coach Paul Annacone.
It is a sign of Federer’s determination to pull himself out of his recent slump rather than another stage in the irresistible decline of the world’s most celebrated player. Annacone joined the Roger Federer camp in 2010. Former world number 12, he is an urbane, measured character whose tactical acumen contributed to Federer’s wonderful 2012 season.
However, this year was not successful for Federer since he has won only a single title at Halle in Germany and the way he succumbed to a pair of unheralded opponents at Wimbledon and the US Open betrayed a man low on confidence and direction. This November and December, the great man will surely go back to the practice court as he plots his return to the top five. He said last week, “My mindset now is, ‘OK, next year is going to be a great year again, where I’m not going to have that many points to defend”
