Africa Stephen Keshi optimist about Super Eagles’ victory in Calabar

Stephen-Keshi-NIGERIA-ChampionAs Africa Top Sports reported to you, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have a 2-1 win over Ethiopia in the preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has restated his confidence in the ability of his team to overcome the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia in last Sunday’s game such that he was not afraid even when Ethiopians shot into the lead barely 12 minutes into the second half of the match.
He however insists that the door remains open for new players to come into the Super Eagles squad, but says it will take ‘very high quality’ to dislodge any of his current players.
He said: “We’ll go back and prepare for the second leg as there’s still that match to play next month. We thank the fans for their prayers and the Federation for their support. Hopefully, we’ll finish the job in Calabar.”
The Super Eagles play Ethiopia in the second leg in Calabar on November 16. If Nigeria qualifies for Brazil 2014, Keshi will become the first African to lead his team to the World Cup both as a player and coach.
