French Ligue 1 Lille put an end to Monaco’s 11-match unbeaten run in Ligue with a 2-0 win Sunday night at the Grand Stade. An achievement that no other side had managed to do so far this season. Being one of the architects of this win due to his countless interventions against the opponent, Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama was described as the savior of the men of René Girard by captain Rio Mavuba of Lille.

The African reigning champion goalkeeper was even referred to as the Jesus of his club.

“We have Jesus in goal,” joked Mavuba of the unbeatable Enyeama, who has now not conceded a goal in seven straight Ligue 1 matches.

“He was huge (Sunday) tonight.Without Enyeama , I ‘m not sure we would not have won this game.; we were tough in midfield, impeccable in defence and we took our chances up front. It was perfect,” He added.
