Europe Real Madrid: Cristiano ” This is a great moment in my career”

337276_heroaCristiano Ronaldo was owner of Real Madrid’s first goal in their 2-2 draw against the Italians of Juventus last night.

With this eighth goal, the Portuguese star striker equalled the records set by Ruud van Nistelrooy (2004-05), Hernan Crespo and Filippo Inzaghi (both 2002-03) as far as the number of goals scored in a calender year in Champions League is concerned.

Cristiano thus overtakes Lionel Messi with his record and did not wait long to express his pride for this achievement.

“I’m so happy. This is a great moment for my career. I feel so loved and always try to do my best,” Ronaldo told Sky Sport.

“I’m not worried about the records. They come naturally. It’s positive, but I want to win more and to be better in the future.

“We knew the difficulty against Juventus. In the first half we suffered, [but] in the second half we were redeemed. We reacted so well, we hit the post and we were better.”

Real continue to dominate Group B with 10 points after four games – six points ahead of Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen, and seven in front of bottom-placed Juve.
