Africa World Cup U-17/Nigeria: Garba « We showed were a very strong side »

imageWest Africans of Nigeria proved supremacy over South Americans of Mexico with a 3-0 win in the semi-final of the World Cup U-17.

Coach Manu Garba of the Golden Eaglets very happy with the attacking prowess of his men said they showed they were a strong side.
“We showed today that we are a very strong side,” said the coach, a World Cup winner as an assistant coach in 2007.

“We are not going to be on any pressure against Mexico in the Final because we would prepare mentally, physically and psychologically for the Final.
“I still maintain that the Mexican team are a very technical team and we can see their resilience by coming from a 6-1 loss to us and still be in the Final,” Manu said at the post-match media conference.

The Nigerian manager wholeheartedly believes his youngsters will lift the trophy on Friday.

“I believe the Final is going to be a great one but by the grace of God, we shall win this trophy for Nigeria and Africa,” he noted.

Coach Roland Larsson of mexico already admited the West Africans are favorite for the trophy.
