Africa Top Sports reported earlier that Arsenal have sent their chief scout Steve Rowley to the UAE, and he has been impressed by the potentials of the teenager who alone scored four goals in the Nigeria’s 6-1 win over Mexico in Group F of U-17 World Cup 2013.

Agent Henry Galeano of the U-17 World Cup 2013 winner and best player has just confirmed English Premier League Arsenal’s interest in the player.

“I can confirm that Arsenal FC’s Steve Rowley, acknowledged Kelechi Iheanacho’s talents early in the World Cup and has said some very nice words about him,” Galeano told the International Business Times.

“We’re ecstatic to have another major club like Arsenal following young Iheanacho. That said, the attention is well deserved. Iheanacho’s performance at the World Cup was indeed remarkable.”
