Stephen Keshi: “I thank the players, because a lot of sacrifices went into this”

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi acknowledges his troop’s sacrifice that hooked Super Eagles qualification for Fifa World Cup Brazil 2014 next summer.

The African reigning champion coach just commended Emmanuel Emenike and co who just beat Ethiopia 4-1 on aggregate.

“It wasn’t easy. Trying to qualify for the Nations Cup and the World Cup at the same time wasn’t easy,” Keshi said.

“It was a very big battle. And that’s why I thank the players, because a lot of sacrifices went into this, ” he added gratefully.
