Africa Tops Sports reported Monday that Ghana’s international midfielder Andre Ayew, son of legend Abedi Ayew Pele was enjoying Maha Ayew’s motherly supports as he was hospitalized in France after picking a left knee injury when Ghana lost 2-1 to Egypt to win an aggregate 7-3 to seal a place in next summer’s Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
After undergoing a surgery by Dr Jean-Pierre Franceshi in Marseille, Andre has reportedly come out safe and sound.
“Andre Ayew has been operated on successfully,” a statement on the club’s official website read.
Andre will leave hospital tomorrow and his unavailability is estimated at about two months.
