Brazil 2014 Boateng to be fielded as a striker at World Cup

Kevin-Prince-Boateng-1Inspired by German Schalke o4 coach Jens Keller‘s decision the Ghanaian international defender as a striker in their match against Eintracht Frankfurt  last weekend, Ghana historic manager Kwesi Appiah thinks of coupling the player with Captain Asamoah Gyan to make a strong duo for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

The duo Gyan-Boateng already proved in Cairo in their qualifier against the Paharaohs of Egypt that they can stun the whole world when they play together.

Gyan made an assist for Boateng to put the consolation of the 2-1 lost of the Black Stars.

Coach Keller thinks that apart from his prowess of playing in all the positions in midfield, Boateng could be effective as a striker.

So to  avoid dilemma of selection in a rich midfield with icons such as Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Coach Appiah would rather use Boateng  as a striker alongside Gyan, Majeed Waris and Jordan Ayew  in Brazil.
