Ghanaian defender Seth Konadu was an architect of his Tunisian side’s third Confederation Cup coronation.

Konadu’s team win meant the sorrow of five Ghanaian players who competed at the side of Mazembe  in Lubumbashi.

But the 23-year-old Ghanaian said it was normal as the best team of the day won.

“The feeling [of winning the cup] is of greatness because winning a cup final away from home in Africa sounds very strange,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Personally it was a very difficult game for me not only because of thescotching weather but the fact that I played against my colleagues from Ghana.

“They [Ghanaians at TP Mazembe] are very good players and they are almost like blood brothers since they are from Ghana.

“So I told them to take the result cool because after all, the cup belonged to the better team and at least another Ghanaian also won it.”

With this third coronation, the Tunisian club becomes the most crowned club in the continent for the trophy.
