Brazil 2014 Keshi: No place for Iheanacho in the Super Eagles

6d570dafd2539aa45b1e47b1f02f11d3Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has just put an end to speculations that the recent U17 World Cup best player of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, Kelechi Iheanacho will be uplifted in the Super Eagles.
The reigning African champion coach thinks that despite his potential, the youngster is not experienced enough to be aligned in the senior national team. He however needs to play regularly for a club so that he can improve step by step as high level footballer.

“Iheanacho is a good player, but he has to play in a team and gain League experience and not just perform in the Under-17 World Cup,” Keshi said.
“What he needs now is to start playing regularly for a team so that he remains in top shape as a footballer and continue to develop into top class footballer.
“As for considering him for the World Cup camp, that doesn’t look real right now,”
he added.

English Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in Iheanaco’s profile.
