Football Ghana coach happy with preparation ahead of CHAN 2014

30182maxwell konadu 230 x 200Africa Top Sports was reporting that Ghana local Black Stars have rallied South Africa after camping in Namibia where they hooked a 1-0 win over Brave Warriors in a warm-up match in Windhoek Saturday.

Coach Maxwell Konadu in charge of the Stars, has expressed pride over the preparation of his men ahead of the competition to be held from January 11 to February 1 in the Rainbow Nation (South Africa) though his side is set to play Mauritania today (Wednesday) in Johannesburg in their last Pre-CHAN friendly.

He wholeheartedly believes his crew are fit enough to prove good at their third CHAN participation in a row.
“Yes, we are very ready and positive about our chances in the group,” Konadu told www.ghanafa.org on Tuesday.

We have prepared well and I hope the players maintain their focus and stick to the plan.”

“We have enjoyed a good build-up to the tournament. It’s a major competition and we needed this kind of preparations.

“We have tested ourselves enough from our participation it the Wafu Cup till now.

“I hope it goes well and we make a positive impact.”

Ghana will play their opener Monday against Congo in Group C before taking on Libya and Ethiopia.
