Europe Australian Open: Djokovic kicked out by Wawrinka in the quarters!

wawrinka_2795840bThis is the feeling of the day! Stanislas Wawrinka (8th in the ATP rankings) terminated the three years unbeaten Novak Djokovic on the drive of Melbourne. The Swiss beat the World No. 2, three times champion of the Australian Grand Slam, after some 3 hours 58 min in five sets, 2/6, 6/4, 6/4, 3/6, 9 / 7.

Novak Djokovic had not experienced defeat at the Australian Open since 2010 against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. It was also at the same stage of the competition.

Wawrinka will play the semi-final against Tomas Berdych. Earlier, the Czech had eliminated world No. 3 David Ferrer, 6/1, 6/4, 2/6, 6/4.
