athletics Rotterdam Marathon: Eliud Kipchoge on the top of a 100% Kenyan podium

534ddb713df8e0ae7661ec5d57b53973-1397394160A few thousand miles from the demonstration of  Kipsang in the London Marathon, another Kenyan imposed his domination over 42km195 in Rotterdam. Favorite of Rotterdam Marathon, Eliud Kipchoge logically imposed himself in 2h 05 min 00 sec.

But the recent winner of semi-marathon in Barcelona did not realize his goal which was to clear from the marathon shelves the record held by his compatriot Duncan Kibet, 2 h 04 min 27 sec since 2009. “I am very pleased with my victory and I will return to the record,” said Kipchoge (29 years).

He beat on the podium his compatriots Bernard Koech (2 h 06 min 08 sec) and Bernard Kipyego (2 hrs 7 min 58 sec). The Ethiopian Deriba Robi fails, four seconds off the podium.
