Stopped in her tracks by a complete rupture of the semitendinosus in June 2013, Véronique Mang will soon resume the competition. Franco-Cameroonian sprinter announced her return to the starting block this summer. “I officially announce my return to competition next June,” said on her Facebook page, the double silver medalist at the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona (100m and 4x100m).

Interclub winner at Villeneuve d’Ascq in May 2013, Véronique Mang, who has seen her career over the past three years disrupted by injury, wants to impose herself in the coming athletics championships in France.

“My goal is the Elite (in Reims from 11 to 13 July 2014) and Zurich (European championships 12 to 17 August 2014),” she says.

The Elite in Reims serve as qualifiers for the European Championships.
