Europe Nigerian Marvin Ogunjimi signs in Norway

The Belgian striker of Nigerian origin evolving in the colors of Mallorca joins Stromsgodset which will play the second qualifying round of the Champions League. Ogunjimi signed a two-year contract with the Norwegian club.

 

A first transfer in Norway failed last April because Mallorca would not release him. The Spanish club today in D2, thus separated with the center-forward of 26 years. After a first failure in Majorca, Ogunjimi did not find more success on loan at Standard Liege, Beerschot and OHL this season. Seen as a major boost for the Standard during the summer transfer window of 2012, the Belgo – Nigerian left the Standard the following winter getaways for two other equally unsuccessful seasons at Beerschot and OHL .

 

The player had led Genk to the title in 2011 and had a good record with the Belgian national team finishing top scorer of the Red Devils during the qualifying campaign for Euro 2012 with four goals.
