Africa Covid19: FIFPRO supporting players who are not going for training

The Fifpro, the international union of professional players, has stepped up in order to support players who refuse to restart training sessions with their clubs.

“The idea that someone could be punished during a pandemic for trying to protect their family’s health is unhuman and unacceptable,” said Jonas Baer-Hoffmann, chairman of Fifpro.

The German has been taking actions since the rumors of sanctions against Troy Deeney, Watford player. The latter has refused to resume with training sessions in his team during this period. “If these players have undergone pressure or have been subject to disciplinary sanctions, we would find this unacceptable,” added Baer-Hoffman.

Moreover, the Frenchman, Ngolo Kanté, also informed his leaders of his fears regarding coronavirus. According to the British media, his club would be ready to stop using it until the end of the season.
