Africa Suspension of GPL : AshGold defender affected financially

Ashanti Gold SC defender, Eric Donkor has disclosed that the suspension of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season to face the challenge of Coronavirus pandemic has affected him financially.

Since mid-March, all football leagues have been put on hold as part of measures of containing the spread of the Coronavirus disease.

Nana Akuffo Addo, the President of Ghana recently extended the ban on sporting activities to July 31. However, the GFA has set June 30 as the date they will decide the future of the league.

“As a footballer, I will say the break has affected my personal life because football is all about training and games, lacking those things is really affecting me. Individual training is not helping me,” Donkor told OTEC FM.
